Amongst the most prevalent grape varieties in the country are Sauvignon, Muscat d’Alexandrie (which is very resistant to drought), Tannat, Merlot, Chardonnay, Malbec, and Petit Verdot as well as Torrontès, originally from Argentina. They can all be sampled as made from different methods, which produces different types of wine.
