VINE SECRETS
Pinotage, the native variety of South Africa, was created in 1924 by an agricultural engineer at Stellenbosch University, Abraham Perold. It’s made from a cross of Pinot Noir with Cinsault (Cinsault being formerly known as Hermitage, from which Pinotage, a contraction of the words Pinot and Hermitage). You will be able to taste it as made from a variety of farming techniques, which create a variety of styles of wine.
