Francisco Roig is a winemaker based in Samaipata, where has he co-founded a boutique wine shop, Uvairenda, that is particularly famous for its Tannat, as well as its wine from high altitudes. These previously little known wines from vineyards at 1750 metres above sea level are starting to find a market in the United States and also in France and Luxembourg.

 

These wines are also available in all of the best restaurants in Bolivia, notably in La Paz, Santa Cruz, Sucre, and of course, in Tarija.
