Telmo Rodriguez is renowned as one of the first and best of the “itinerant winemakers”. Also referred to in Spain as travelling oenologists, they travel between different regions in order to produce wines from the same vintage, using indigenous grape varieties from their ancestral regions, paying particular attention to the recovery of vineyards which have been forgotten.

Today Telmo, who prefers to be referred to as a winemaker rather than an oenologist, is regarded in the winemaking world as one of the “modernists” of Spanish viticulture.
