Day 1 : International Aiport Ezeiza - Buenos Aires - City Tour

Welcoming at Ezeiza International Airport and transfer to Buenos Aires in a private vehicle. Transfer with an English-speaking guide. Visit Buenos Aires (half day, private tour).

Buenos Aires, a cosmopolitan city with European features, is among the 10 most active cities in the world. City of arts, cultures, theaters, traditions … The variety satisfies the most demanding visitor.

You visit the 9 de Julio Avenue , the widest in the world, dominated by the Obelisk , a symbol of Buenos Aires. You will pass the Colon Theatre , one of the jewels of the Argentine architecture. Then you arrive to the famous or central Plaza de Mayo, next to buildings such as the Casa Rosada or Casa de Gobierno, the Cabildo and the Cathedral.

You end your day with the picturesque neighborhood of La Boca , and specifically the alley El Caminito , the spot for painters, tango dancers and singers.

Day 2 : City Tour Buenos Aires

Visit Buenos Aires (half day and private tour).

Guided tour of Recoleta neighbourhood, characterized by many colonial houses, often old houses of historical figures, currently inhabited by powerful Argentine families. You enter the luxurious Pacifico Shopping Center, characterized by its French architecture of 1889, with vaulted ceilings. This stunning place is one of the favorite places in Argentina.

Later you visit Recoleta Cemetery, where many celebrities, writers and politicians rest. The best known and most revered, even today is the tomb of Evita Peron, the legendary wife of President Peron.

You continue your visit to Palermo neighbourhood, with a stroll in the park Tres de Febrero , inaugurated in 1875, representing the largest green area of the city.

Return to your hotel. A English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout your visit.

You go to Luis’house, a closed-door restaurant, for a real experience of the Argentine’s ‘asado’.

Luis welcomes you and explains how a typical Argentine’s ‘asado’ is prepared, its techniques, its secrets but also the Argentine rituals and traditions that accompany this moment of sharing. For those who wish to participate, you can help cooking. The meat is accompanied by good local wines (Malbec, Torrontés…).

A tip: have a light lunch to enjoy this traditional meal, Luis serves Argentinean portions!

Day 3 : Buenos Aires - Puerto Madero - Uruguay border - Colonia del Sacramento

Transfer from your hotel to the Port (Puerto Madero) in a private vehicle. In the early morning, cross the la Plata River in a ferry to disembark in the charming town of Colonia de Sacramento.

Welcoming at Colonia de Sacramento and transfer to Carmelo (1hour).

Visit, wine tasting and lunch at Bodega El Legado

The Marzuca family will greet you at El Legado wine-estate. They will take you on a visit of the winery explaining the wine process and different types of grapes. The wine tasting includes 3 different types of wines all locally produced (high standard), with cheese and cured meat. You will have the option to taste the following wines directly from the barrel: Syrah Reserva, Tannat Reserva, and Blend Gran Reserva. Lunch is a great barbecue with various type of meats served with grilled vegetables. For dessert, vanilla ice cream with Tannat sauce. Water and wine are included.

Day 4 : Colonia del Sacramento - Finca Piedra - Montevideo

Transfer by private vehicle from Colonia del Sacramento to the city of San José.

Visit, tasting and lunch at the rural estancia Finca Piedra

The vineyards of the Bodega Finca Piedra are located in the hill of the Sierras de Mahoma, ideal place for the production of fine wines where the rocky soils prevail and give sense to the name of the estancia.

The quality of the soil and the favorable climatic conditions create an excellent microclimate which gives our wines a unique and different flavor.

We intend to see and learn how our wine is made, followed by a tasting. Our wines come from the following strains imported from France: Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Viognier. You will taste a selection of wines from the cellar for then have lunch.

Day 5 : Montevideo

Visit and tasting at Bodega Stagnari

You will have the opportunity to visit the world’s most awarded Tannat Winery. A member of the Stagnari family will welcome you and show you all the secrets of the development of Tannat. The Bodega is located in La Puebla, a historic place with a unique landscape. Discover the first labyrinth formed by the vineyards. You will enjoy a Virginia Chardonay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot La Puebla, Tannat Viejo Cosecha 2013. All accompanied by a cheese platter and charcuterie.

Visit of Bodega Bouza in Montevideo

Located 30 minutes from the center of Montevideo, you will have the privilege of visiting a cellar boutique with its exceptional museum of car collection. You will have the opportunity to taste the different wines of the property but also to enjoy a gourmet lunch . It is one of Uruguay’s most prestigious cellars and has received more than 75 awards and medals at the international level.

Day 6 : Montevideo

We begin our tour with Old City and Independence Square (Plaza Independencia ), where are the gate of the Citadel and the sculpture of José Artigas. At the monument to the heroes of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, we check out the Presidential Palace, the Solís Theatre and the Radisson Hotel.

After the main avenue of Montevideo 18 de Julio, we will go through the Legislative Palace, which has a fascinating architectural style, then we will visit the area of Prado with its unique style and its monument to the Charrúas.

We will continue, through the obelisk in honor of the ‘’Constituyentes’’ then get to Parque Batlle, where the monument Stagecoach and the stage of the first FIFA World Cup organizes in 1930: Estadio Centenario.

To conclude this tour we will visit the residential area of ​​Carrasco, Punta Gorda, Plaza Virgilio where you can enjoy the best view of the city. On the way back, we will go through the Rambla towards the center, through the neighborhoods of Buceo and its small marina, Pocitos and Punta Carretas.

Day 7 : Montevideo

Visit and tasting at the Bodega Pizzorno – (2h30)

It is a family business of Italian tradition founded in 1910 located 20 km from Montevideo, in the region of Canelon Chico. The vineyard covers 23 hectares and includes the following grape varieties: Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

The meticulous work done on each parcel makes it possible to obtain complex, elegant wines rich in fruit and which reflect the unique characteristic of this terroir. Placing technology at the center of their project, you will be able to discover the various stages of transformation that makes it possible to obtain this lightness, characteristic of Bodega Pizzorno wines.

You will have the opportunity to visit the vineyard and the cellar to then participate tasting of white, red and rosé wines produced at this establishment and accompanied by local tapas and cheeses.

This very old cellar that belongs to the Deicas family is one of the most important of Uruguay. The vineyard extends over more than 200 hectares. The Bodega Juanicó and its cellar are built entirely of stone, which guarantees the good evolution of the wine and also its perfect conservation. The family will pass on their passion through a guided tour of the vineyard and the Bodega. Following the visit, you can taste a selection of Juanicó wines, accompanied by regional products for then have lunch.

Day 8 : Montevideo - Punta del Este

Visit and tasting at Bodega Bracco Bosca

Bracco Bosca Bodega started in 2005, however its vineyards are actually in the family for over 5 generations. Located next to the protected Laguna del Cisne (swan lake), the winery is using very natural process to ensure a production entirely organic (BIO) in respect to the environment. Legends had it that the location of the bodega used to be home to an ‘ombu’ (giant tree) and that a treasure box with gold coins was buried there. You will explore the vineyards from this renown bodega and taste 4 different wines served with homemade bread, cheese and other nibbles.

Viña Eden is located in Pueblo Edén village, on the scenic route 12, between the Atlantic Ocean and Sierra de los Caracoles mountains, on a rocky hill surrounded by a spectacular landscape. The rich soil provides the ideal condition to produce high standard red and white wines as well as sparkling wine following the traditional ‘methode champenoise’.

You will taste 3 wines served with local cheeses and artisanal bread, and for lunch: traditional Uruguayan asado.

Day 9 : Punta del Este - Montevideo - Buenos Aires

Visit and wine tasting at Bodega O’33

Located at Jose Ignacio, the bodega O’33 has an 8 hectares of vineyards and benefits from its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Each plot is selected according to its exposition to the sun, to ensure a high quality production. After the visit of the winery, you will get a chance to taste Pinot Rosé, Albariño, Pinot Noir and tannat, as well as traditional Extra Virgin Olive Oil, served with rustic bread.

Visit, wine tasting and lunch in the Bodega Garzon

All the greatest wines in the world are produced in locations where different variety of grapes can all find the best conditions to their cultivation. At Bodega Garzón, the wines produced are the perfect representation of the fantastic soil hosting the grapes. Free day in Buenos Aires with another opportunity to visit some of the sites missed at the start of the tour.

Return to the hotel late in the afternoon. Evening in a Milonga, where tango enthusiasts find themselves. You will discover a warm and pleasant atmosphere. This charm and decor will put you at ease to feel the magic from the capital of Tango…

El Beso is probably the most formal of all milongas, as all the codes are followed strictly. Do not venture off the tracks, the code demands outfits … kept very neat. It is not uncommon to see men sitting on one side, women sitting on the other, waiting for one thing: being invited… Dancing exhibition in the evening.
